Pour fêter dignement l'ouverture de notre Maison-Musée nous vous proposons un récital exceptionnel du pianiste Nicolas Horvath.

Les œuvres choisies et interprétées par Nicolas sont particulièrement intéressantes par leur éclectisme : elles couvrent les XIX, XX et XXIèmes siècles.

Nous disposons de 40 places pour vous accueillir dans la maison de Debussy d’où une réservation obligatoire.

Venez découvrir ce lieu que nous avons aménagé dans le respect de la mémoire de Debussy pour qui "la musique est une mathématique mystérieuse dont les éléments participent de l'infini."

Bichain is a hamlet of Villeneuve-la-Guyard (89340), located in the north of the Yonne, on the border with Seine-et-Marne. Claude Debussy and his wife Lily spent several summers in this hamlet , Claude working on several of his major works there. The house occupied by the couple was bought by the commune.

A team of enthusiasts is now working to restore this house, in order to turn it into a museum and a center for artistic activities.

A first screening of the film "Claude Debussy, Three Summers in Bichain" directed by Christophe Monier, written by Marie-Jeanne Baeli, took place on May 31, at the Villeneuve-la-Guyard multi-purpose hall following the General Assembly of the Friends of Claude Debussy in Bichain association.

This 55-minute film will be screened in the future Maison Debussy, currently under construction, when it opens at the end of the year.

It will serve as a "guide" for visitors.
